New and Innovative curriculum
At the Arabic Club For Kids the play method of teaching will work in tandem with a new and innovative curriculum devised through months of research, training programs, investigation into methods of learning and teaching, as well as discussions and ideas taken from primary school teaching. Lots of well thought through language excercises, activities, games and projects that children will love to learn Arabic from.
A high teacher to pupil ratio will enable us to divide the class into the most appropriate groups for reading and writing as well as doing some full class games and other teaching activities. Researched and fun methodologies will be used to bring out your children's potential. TV and satellite programs for children, -all in Arabic, - known to be a great aid to language learning will also be a small part of our day. We also have an Arabic CD library which children will use at school and be able to borrow from. To find out more about our curriculum and daily activities please contact us.
Empower your children with reading, writing, speaking and listening skills from the very first day!
We think you will learn many times more here than existing schools that teach Arabic to children in London. In this way it is not only cost effective in the long run, but your children will enjoy their Saturdays at the The Arabic Club For Kids.
Qur'an Option
One session of our day, will be dedicated to teaching the Quran for those children who have opted for this. A qualified Hafiz al-Quran from al-Azhar University will lead the team of Quran teachers, supervise classroom instruction and also teach about once a month in our Quran project. Children will begin with recitation and memorization of short surahs, and also progress to reading from the Quran script. We will also use specially devised teaching aids, such as acitivities teaching sight recognition of high frequency words in the Quran, and other computer aided teaching aids.
Non-Qur'an Option
The other part of the group will do specially devised 'tpr' projects, a teaching strategy which is said to mimick first language acquisition by children. Tpr is also used in many other aspects of curriculum as a complimentary teaching strategy.
Our Staff
Our lead teachers and all our teaching team are qualified professionals dedicated to childrens' education and who will make Arabic come alive. Check out the teacher profiles from the menu bar for further information.
Lunch and Play
Children in the kindergarten group will leave at 1pm, and will have lunch with you. Children who stay for the creche however should bring a packed lunch. All other children should also bring a packed lunch. We will take one hour for lunch and play. We have a lovely little play area where children can run and play on the apparatus.
There will also be a short morning break where children will be offered fruit and a short afternoon break where children will be offered milk.
As far as possible our classroom assistants and teachers will manage these sessions in Arabic too!
